The July 1958 Newport Jazz Festival was the subject of the documentary Jazz On A Summer’s Day. Dinah Washington sings (and helps out Terry Gibbs on vibes) on “All Of Me,” a 1932 song by Gerald Marks and Seymour Simons.

With Dinah and Terry are Blue Mitchell on trumpet, Sahib Shihab on baritone, Urbie Green on trombone, Wynton Kelly on piano, Paul West on bass and Max Roach on drums.

Today, I went to the beach front with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.

There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is
completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
