Last June I posted a clip from Stephen Colbert’s interview with the congressman representing Georgia’s Eighth Congressional District.


For several days after this interview, the main page of the Congressman’s website featured a photo of him shaking hands with Colbert. This was a real congressman. They weren’t making this up.

Last week, Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-Illinois), chair of the House Democratic Caucus, warned freshman congresspersons not to appear on The Colbert Report.
