“God to Ford: Drop Dead”Since Warren G. Harding followed William Howard Taft, each successive Republican to serve in the White House has made his Republican predecessors look good in comparison. Apart from this fact, there is absolutely no reason to summon any nostalgia for Gerald Ford except as the first of two unelected politicians to hold the Oval Office. I see much more reason to honor his widow.
