Immediately afterward, Lily Tomlin presents the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical:

Jeter went on to win an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor – Comedy Series for his role in the sitcom Evening Shade, and he had memorable roles in features such as The Fisher King, Dead Bang and The Green Mile.

Last Sunday was the fifth anniversary of Michael Jeter’s death of AIDS-related complications at the age of fifty.
